After the Rapture

Fiction meets restriction in these pointless games we play
I’ll gladly stay up through the night then overthrow the day.
Pick a place to latch on to and maybe then you’ll smile.
Iconic superstition hints that this may take a while.

Chorus:
After the Rapture
There’s a pending disaster
Nobody cares to see.
We move ahead
But the trouble keeps after
Loud and out for me.

Conversations, aggravations, all seem to intertwine
Suggestions from the innocent, they quite get in line
I know it may sound easy to avoid a second guess
From where I hear opposing us takes precedence for less

After the Rapture
There’s a pending disaster
Nobody cares to see.
We move ahead
But the trouble keeps after
Loud and out for me.
Those tribulations and evil temptations
Left us here to stay.
From dust we came
And that’s where we’ll remain till
The end of our judgment days.
