Mama's Love has just finished recording their anticipated new EP in the historic Atlanta recording studio, Southern Tracks.  With the guided help of producer/engineer, Tom Tapley (assistant to albums of Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Incubus, & Pearl Jam) Mama's Love has found a great polished and professional sound while still staying true to their original ideals. Several of the new tracks (Wake Up Woes, Faces on Fire) are streaming in the media player below, as well as on their MySpace.  The full EP will be available for sale on itunes and other online distributors by the beginning of the new year. Also, stay tuned for a look into the studio with the band as they soon will post a documented account of the recording experience. Mama's Love is very proud of the finished product and is excited for the new release.

Just Added new Smith's show for download

Thanks to everyone for such a good year.  We are taking a break for a few months while two of our band members will be studying abroad.  However, the creation will continue and we will be back strong as soon as possible. Keep checking up on us for upcoming summer shows in the near future.

We would like to thank Sweetwater for throwing such an awesome festival to celebrate the great day of 4/20. The weather was unbelievable and the Sweetwater hit the spot.

The 4 night run was awesome. A deep thanks to everyone who came out to support us. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and we are sure to see you again soon.

New Sigma Nu Woodstock Pictures/Videos Uploaded. Check them out!

Mama's Love will be dedicating most of their March schedule towards the writing, producing, and fine-tuning of new originals.  There are a few MCL benefit shows in the works so keep on the look-out.

Due to recording issues at Sigma Nu, we will not be able to upload the show. We are just as pissed off about it as you. However, stay tuned for highlights from the Melting Point Show which will be uploaded soon. Thanks again to all the Auburn fans. You guys definitely know how to party.

We have now added our music to iTunes-
"Willow Street Sessions" has been added as an album. Feel free to take a listen and add us to your ipod.

T-shirts & Willow Street Sessions are now available on the Music & Merchandise webpage.

Like the town of Athens, Mama’s Love is youthful and overflowing with talent. All five band members are originally from Atlanta, Ga., where they studied music in high school and played in various high school bands. The current line-up came together in Athens in 2006 under the name Funkward Bound, with Torbert and Boyd making trips from Auburn, Ala., to Athens to practice and play. In 2007, all members converged permanently on Athens to concentrate on making music as Mama’s Love.

The result has been a full length album entitled Willow Street Sessions, many hours committed to song-writing and practicing, dozens of concerts, and a fast-growing, loyal fan base. Willow Street Sessions was recorded at Starratt Studios in Watkinsville, Ga. during May 2007. It took two weeks in the studio to nail down 12 original tunes, and the feedback from the album has been overwhelmingly positive.  Please contact us if ou would like to order a CD or receive a press packet.

With a well rehearsed and growing arsenal of originals and classic-rock cover songs, Mama’s Love is poised to become a crowd favorite in Athens and beyond. The band’s goal is to play weekly shows at bars, Greek houses and festivals over the next year. Mama’s Love will quickly become one of the most recognizable and sought-after bands on the Southeast music scene. As band members continue to improve their ability and chemistry, Mama’s Love will continue to turn heads in the music industry.
